Toi Whakaari once again proudly sponsored the “Best Production Design” Category award for International Youth Silent Film Festival New Zealand National Awards that were held on Friday 8th November in Tauranga. It is an annual competition organised by Baycourt Community & Arts Centre and IYSFF team in Tauranga to encourage interested young people under 21 years to make short 3 minute silent films. This is a National award and winners of the competition will be contesting globally at the IYSFF awards in Portland, Oregon, USA in June 2020.

This year Sarah Kolver from Rotorua won this award for her movie Encase. The award was presented by Toi Whakaari Alumna Megan Peacock-Coyle.
