The Festival of Work in Development (FWD) finally returns live in 2022, showcasing student works at Toi Whakaari from Aug 30 - Sep 1.
FWD is a platform for students in their final year to share their research and explorations of form, performance and storytelling.
According to Acting Tutor, Anya Tate-Manning, FWD is a "beautiful feast of creativity and artistic voices, with emerging artists sharing new work with audiences."
"This year's festival features artist ventures that traverse generations and worlds; clowns form outer space, dance workshops, installations, creations around culture, history and politics. These are artists are creating their own creation processes, and exploring their artistic questions. forms of all kind are being explored and invented - film, live, comedy, solo, ensemble, scriptwriting, performance art and more."
"The voices of these emerging artists are inspiring, compelling and poignant."
